AGREEMENT BETWEEN LITHUANIA AND INDIAN ENTREPRENEURS WERE SIGNED IN NEW DELHI

 

On 13 December 2012. The agreement between the Indian Baltic Chamber of Commerce (IBCC) and the company "India Buying Consultants” was signed in the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuanian to the Republic of India. The agreement was signed to found the IBCC Mission in India.Under the agreement, India Buying Consultants is an authorized representative of the IBCC and will take care of searching for new IBCC clients. The "India Buying Consultants company work with major importers in India, so far mainly affected by imports from the U.S., but became interested in Lithuanian products, the potential demand in the Indian market with imports.

 

 

ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES AND BENEFITS OF ŠIAULIAI CITY PRESENTED TO THE INDIAN BUSINESSMEN

 

Lithuanian business delegation on a visit to New Delhi on 25-29th November, 2012 was headed by the Director of Indian – Baltic Chamber of Commerce Mr. Gediminas Citukas, with participation of members of Šiauliai City Municipality and Administration. The aim of the delegation was to invite Indian entrepreneurs and investors to Šiauliai.

To the Indian businessmen gathered in FICCI, CII and Lithuanian Embassy the Vice Mayor of city Šiauliai Mrs. Daiva Matonienė presented the Šiauliai Industrial and Business Zone, Regional Logistics Centre. She invited Indian businessmen to invest in Šiauliai and to explore the possibilities offered by Šiauliai airport to deliver the goods to Europe in a cheaper and more effective way.

The Charge d‘Affaires of the Lithuanian Embassy in India Mrs. Diana Mickevičienė presented the advantages of the investment in Lithuania, invited the Indian businessmen to establish logistics centres for Indian goods in Lithuania and to consider possibilities of transferring part of production to Šiauliai or other Free Economic Zones in Lithuania, therefore ensuring their smooth entry to the European Union market.

Among the Indian companies active in infrastructure were the representatives of GMR, HCC Group, SMS“ and others.

This is the 4th business mission to India organized by the Indian – Baltic Chamber of Commerce, established in 2009.

Lithuania Business Mission to the Republic of India

 

India - Baltic Chamber of Commerce organizes the 4th Lithuanian Business Mission to the Republic of India. Lithuania Business Missions to the Republic of India have been organized since 2009. This year it starts on 25-30 November 2012 in Delhi.

Šiauliai city municipality members: Mrs. Daiva Matonienė - Deputy Mayor of the city of Šiauliai, Mrs. Zalevičienė Aistė - Investment and Urban Development Department, Mr. Juškus Vytautas - Šiauliai City Council Member, Also "Inži" Fashion House General Director - Mrs. Ingrida Žitkuvienė, UAB “Inlinen” Legal Affairs Consultant - Mr. Linas Pečiulaitis, "Rosemetals” C.E.O Director - Mr. Aidas Binkauskas.

The programme of the delegation:

- Visit the Exhibition “Indian International Trade Fair 2012”;

- Meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuanian to the Republic of India;

- Meeting at the Jiva Institute;

- Meeting with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry conference (FICCI),

- Visit the European Business Technology Center (EBTC)

- Visit the Angelique International Ltd Company

- Visit the Confederation of Indian Industrialists (CII)

- Reception at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuanian to the Republic of India.

 

The Minister of State for External Affairs of India Mrs. Preneet Kaur visit in Lithuania

 

The Minister of State for External Affairs of India, Mrs Preneet Kaur, is visiting Lithuania from 29-31 March 2011.

On 31 March 2011 the Minister was visiting the office of BLS International Visa Services Baltics,  to inaugurate a new Visa Online Tracking System (VOTS) that will enable Lithuanian applicants for Indian visas to view the status of their applications online through a highly secure system accessible by a unique key.

BLS International Visa Services has been contracted by the Embassy of India to provide user-friendly and high-class visa facilities to Lithuanian nationals. It has been performing this role since 01 September 2010.

As a result of initiatives taken by the Embassy of India and the excellent services provided by BLS, the number of visa applicants from Lithuania has more then trebled in the last six months.

The Minister have also handed over the 1700th Indian visa to a Lithuanian citizen since the outsourcing arrangements were started.

 

 

Lithuanian business delegation to India 2011

 

In November 8-13, 2011 IBCC has organized the third Lithuanian business delegation to India (Delhi-Ludhiana) with the head of the delegation - Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Ms. Asta Skaisgirytė Liauškienė.

During the visit the delegation participated at round table discussions, two business forums and two B2B fairs with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and The Ludiana Management Association (LMA).

Lithuanian business delegation to India 2010

In November 12-19, 2010 IBCC has organized  the second Lithuanian business delegation to India together with the first historic delegation of Lithuania‘s Parliamentary group for India-Lithuania relations, which was initiated and is under the auspices of H.E. Mr. Deepak Vohra, the Ambasador of India to Poland and Lithuania.

In December, 2009 IBCC has organized the first Lithuanian business delegation’s visit to India (Delhi-Mumbai) together with the visit of the Minister of Economy Mr. Dainius Kreivys and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Vygaudas Ušackas.

The Ministers were accompanied by around thirty businessmen comprising of the heads from various Lithuanian Trade Associations and representatives from a variety of sectors, viz Bio-Energy, Re-cycling raw materials, Food, Textiles, Pharmaceuticals, Logistics, Real estate and Investments to showcase prospects of business and investments in Lithuania while exploring possibilities of the same in India for Lithuanian industry.
